Step 1: Seek Seasonal Employment Opportunities in Italy
The initial phase involves actively searching for seasonal job opportunities or potential employers who are willing to sponsor your employment and apply for the necessary work authorization on your behalf. Step 2: Application for Work Authorization (Nulla Osta al Lavoro) by the Employer
The employer or the company that extends a job offer to you will take the necessary steps to apply for the work authorization on your behalf. They will need to submit an application to the One-Stop-Shop for Immigration located in the Prefettura corresponding to the location where the job is set to be performed.
Step 3: Applying for an Italy National D Visa at the Italian Embassy
Once your employer receives your work authorization, they will notify the Italian embassy of your approved work status, and the embassy will then issue you an Italian Long Stay Visa.
If your intended stay in Italy exceeds 90 days, you must apply for the National D Visa. Seasonal work also requires a D Visa.
